The Privilege of a Great Dad

On this Father’s Day, I find myself thinking of and being privileged to have had a truly wonderful father. His name was Bob Collins. He was a simple man, who loved his family and who was always willing to put his family first. He easily showed his love and always demonstrated a positive attitude, no matter what problems were going on behind the scenes. He was a great listener and loved to hear about what interested other people. He was very artistic and especially loved to work with wood. I have a house full of beautiful art he created over the years. He was consistent in his discipline and through love, directed me in the right direction in preparation for life. He lived a life of faith in God by example, seeing to it that the family was always involved in church activities. Yep, I am indeed privileged to have had such a rich blessing in life. Bob Collins, among other things, was a great dad who I miss every day…but especially today on this Father’s Day.Bob Collins

Jeff, Your dad was a remarkable man. I’m glad I knew him. I’m also privileged to have some of his artwork.

You are remarkable just like your dad though.
